What we do

StackedGTM sells two things: brand sponsorships and marketing services. This role runs the services business.

The services business. We call it Forward Deployed Marketing. These are fixed-scope engagements where our team works inside a company's marketing org and builds the thing itself. We work across five areas:

  • AI Search, AEO & SEO
  • Messaging & Positioning
  • Growth Channels
  • Marketing Engineering & AI Agents
  • Marketing Measurement

We staff every engagement with specialists from our network, matched to the work. At handover, the in-house team owns a working system. Clients range from founding teams to enterprise marketing orgs, and investors have started bringing us into their portfolio companies.

The sponsorship business. Software companies sponsor our newsletter and content to reach more than 20,000 operators and a large LinkedIn following.

The two sides feed each other. What we learn inside engagements goes into our content, and the audience that content builds is where many of our services clients first hear about us.

02

Where we are

We became a seven-figure business within months of launching. Clients extend. We are adding dedicated outbound, which means more engagements running at once. Services needs one person who owns all of it.

03

The role

You run services the way a CEO runs a company. You own every client relationship, every deployment, the team that delivers them and the numbers behind them. Our founder stays the senior voice on strategy in areas like AI search and positioning. You own everything that makes an engagement succeed and makes the client want another one.

The job has two halves, and you need to be excellent at both.

With clients, you will:

  • Be the executive point of contact for every services client, from kickoff through handover.
  • Run kickoffs, weekly check-ins and executive readouts. CMOs and founders should leave every conversation knowing what was done, what it produced and what comes next.
  • Set scope clearly and hold it. When a client asks for more, turn it into a scoped extension or a fair “no”.
  • Agree on the success metric for every engagement at the start, and report against it throughout.
  • Spot risk early and raise it with the client before they raise it with you.
  • Join late-stage sales conversations to scope work we can deliver at the quality we promise.

Behind the work, you will:

  • Staff every engagement by matching the right specialists to it, and recruit and vet new ones so the bench stays ahead of demand.
  • Own project plans, timelines and dependencies across all live engagements at once.
  • Review work before it reaches the client. Nothing ships that you would not put your name on.
  • Plan capacity against the sales pipeline so we never sell work we can't staff well.
  • Own services margin by engagement and across the business.
  • Build the operating system for delivery: playbooks for each offering, templates, reporting, tooling and the agents that take manual work off the team.
  • Feed what we learn in engagements back to the content side of the business.

04

Your first quarter

Month one: You join every live engagement, meet every client and work with every specialist on the bench. You learn how each offering is delivered today and where delivery depends too heavily on any one person.

Month two: You are the primary contact on every account. Staffing, timelines and quality review run through you. The first delivery playbooks are written and in use.

Month three: New engagements kick off and run on your system. You report on client health, capacity and margin every week, and you have a hiring and bench plan for the next two quarters.

05

Who does well here

  • You have run client delivery before, at an agency, a consultancy or a services arm, and you have carried the retention and margin numbers yourself.
  • You are credible in a room with a CMO or a founder. You can explain the work, defend a recommendation and deliver bad news without losing the relationship.
  • You are just as strong in the back office. You like building the plan, the staffing model and the quality bar, and you notice when a timeline is about to slip.
  • You know modern marketing well enough to tell good work from bad across AI search, lifecycle, paid, positioning and measurement. You don't need to be the deepest expert in each.
  • You have hired, managed and let go of contractors and specialists, and good people want to work with you again.
  • You use AI tools every day to run projects and delivery, and can show us how.
  • You run yourself. This is a remote role with real ownership.

06

Compensation and structure

  • Base salary plus a share of services profit. We share the structure in the first conversation.
  • The role is fully remote.
  • You work directly with our founder and lead a growing delivery team.

07

Why now

Services demand is growing faster than any other part of the business, and dedicated outbound is about to add to it. The offerings are defined, the clients are real and they extend. What the business needs next is someone to turn that into a business that scales: more engagements running at once at the same quality. You would own that outright.
